Updated: Jul 10, 2018

Northeast India is a land of tribal festivals. Every tribe has an occasion to celebrate most often related to the seasonal and agricultural cycles. Spring, winter, planting and harvesting seasons are celebrated in different ways in different communities. Every member in the community takes part in these celebrations in their traditional dress and celebrate together through traditional rituals, art, music, dance and food. These festivals are opportunities to witness the vibrant cultures of the Northeast and experience the warmth and hospitality of the people.
