Medini came into being due to our desire as a family to live closer to nature and to share the space and experience with others. Medini draws on the traditional knowledge and practices of an Assamese homestead lifestyle combined with modern amenities, to offer an engaging, relaxing and comfortable experience for guests.

     Medini Homestay is a working farm, where we keep cows, chickens, honeybees, silkworms and friendly dogs and where we grow seasonal vegetables naturally, avoiding use of chemicals. Our kitchen is run on a ‘farm to table’ concept, where we grow our own food as well as source locally grown produces. We serve homecooked vegetarian food, and a separate kitchen is available for cooking non-veg dishes on demand. We strive to be a no-waste farm, kitchen and weave studio, where waste materials are recycled and put to use.
